Defensive Pistol follows on from the content learned in Pistol Fundamentals and focuses on  a higher level of application of the fundamentals including the close quarter application of shooting. The course is an entry into applying pistol skills to self defence scenarios effectively and realistically. Applicable to both concealed and open carry, Defensive Pistol is the first step learning to fight with your pistol and the gateway to higher tactical levels of training. Subject matter includes but is not limited to mindset and mental preparedness, combat marksmanship, various shooting positions, reloading techniques, basic and applied stoppage clearance, optimisation of grip,  close quarter engagements, target prioritisation, defensive movement, sighting solutions, multiple target engagement, concealment and presentation. 
Minimum Requirements:
- Have a valid license and competency certificate for weapon(s) to be used
- Basic to intermediate level of confidence and competence
- Understanding of firearms law and safety rules
